Tell us about yourself and your business:
My name is Hannah and I run my own esthetics business. One business turned into two, when I opened a storefront salon in Rockford with my business partner, Jessica. Our salon ranges from lashes and facials to massages and body treatments.
What inspired you to start your business?
The people in my life.
What’s it like being a female business owner here in the Stateline?
It an awesome feeling. I’m definitely proud to say I own a business and such an uplifting one at that.

What advice would you give to a woman wanting to start her own business?
To ask for help. To reach out to other women for advice and guidance. Also to believe in yourself and take the first step.
Who or what has been your biggest support system as a female business owner in the community?
My business partner, Jessica. She has been the most encouraging person I’ve ever met. I wouldn’t be here without her.

What are the biggest challenges/advantages to being a female business owner?
Challenges would be making yourself stand out from the rest. But also the advantages would be standing out from the rest. It’s such an amazing feeling to know that my clients could go anywhere and they choose to see and support me.
