The focus of the lecture is knowing your history to know yourself.

Standing on Strong Shoulders: History of the Colored Soldiers’ Club in Rockford
Facilitator: Joyce D. Higgins
The AARC at Booker, formerly the Colored Soldiers’ Club, is a winning implication born out of the need for the U.S. Army to segregate the colored soldiers from their white counterparts in World War I. Many organizations established during this time period still exist today.
