Wally Haas, the executive director of Transform Rockford, joins Steve Summers on This Week in the Stateline to talk about what the nonprofit organization is up to now more than a decade after its launch.

"We're always there when the community needs us, whether that's to celebrate, whether that's to draw attention to an issue, whether that's to convene a discussion over sensitive topics, that's our role," Haas said on the show.

Haas, who retired from the Rockford Register Star after 40 years in journalism, was named Transform Rockford's new director in June 2023.
