LOVES PARK — A locally owned aesthetics business has expanded into a new location and added more services designed to provide a holistic approach to beauty, health and wellness.

The Face Place has moved to 4105 N. Perryville Road from its previous home in the Lonnie’s Carpet complex on East Riverside Boulevard. The company celebrated the ribbon-cutting of its new location Wednesday with The Parks Chamber of Commerce.

“The best way that I can describe Face Place is by describing to you what brings people here,” said Liz Royer Patel, a nurse practitioner and the owner of The Face Place. “Most of the time people come and they say, Liz, I look tired even when I’m not tired. I look angry, and I’m not mad. I lost all my hair after COVID.

“And the answer is yes. We can fix that. We can do these things.”

Royer Patel founded the company as a solo practice in 2018. The new location opens with three additional members of The Face Place team:

    • Shannon Taylor: a certified physician assistant with more than 20 years of dermatology experience.
    • Avery Cellitti: an aesthetician who provides luxury services such as facials, medical grade peels, scalp massage and skin tightening.
    • Bridget Finn: a certified life coach who helps support the emotional health of clients in person or virtually.

Eric Gillam works behind the scenes as the company’s chief operating officer, Royer Patel said.

The move also comes with new cosmetic technology. The Sciton laser provides targeted skin resurfacing that’s designed to eliminate pigmentation problems and rejuvenate the collagen layer to promote healthy new skin cells.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday was celebrated with Loves Park city officials including Mayor Greg Jury, members of the Parks Chamber of Commerce and friends and supporters of Royer Patel and her team members.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this exciting chapter in the history of Face Place,” she said.  “Our commitment to enhancing overall health and well-being remains steadfast, and we look forward to continuing to serve our community with passion and excellence.”
