The Discovery Center Museum will reopen it’s doors to the public but things are going to be a little different this time.

If you’re planning on making a trip to either one of these museums, you will need to make reservations ahead of time and keep in mind that each tour will have a two-hour time slot.

To limit touching between guests and staff, tickets will be electronic. Face coverings and masks are required for anyone over the age of 6 years old. Social distancing will be enforced and hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the entire museum. Also, there are a few exhibits that have been moved, modified, and even taken down.

The Rockford Art Museum has been open already to the public but also has guidelines in place such as taking patrons temperatures as they come into the building and making sure everyone is wearing a face mask.

With proper health precautions, summer camps with smaller groups went back in full effect on Monday, July 6th. Every day from 10 am until 5 pm, the museum will be open and admission to be free through the end of the year.
