Leah Zahn is a lifelong Rockford resident who teaches and performs in the Northern Illinois area. She teaches both Suzuki and traditional violin and viola lessons at the Music Academy in Rockford, and is concertmaster of the Rock Valley College and Community Orchestra. Leah earned her B.A. in Music from Northern Illinois University and is currently pursuing her M.M. in Violin Performance, also at NIU, where she studies with Marie Wang of the Avalon String Quartet.

The Music on Main Series features regionally acclaimed classical artists. Set in the intimate venues of the historic Emerson House and MPAC’s Recital Hall, these performances deliver a genuine chamber music experience.
