Podcast: New event to help veterans cope with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries

Ryan Curry, a Marine veteran and the founder of Beneath the Beard, joins Steve Summers on This Week in the Stateline. Beneath the Beard helps veterans cope with the residual effects of traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder.

The organization will host its first Back the Beard event from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Buster’s Bar and Grill, 7113 N. Alpine Road, Loves Park. It costs $5 to get in with proceeds supporting the organization.
