Motherhood is often portrayed as a beautiful, joyous experience, but for many women, it can also be an incredibly challenging and isolating time. Postpartum depression and other perinatal mental health disorders affect countless mothers, yet too often, they suffer in silence. It’s time we change that narrative.
Kate Deckard-Gonzales from Willow Creek Counseling is on a mission to shed light on this issue and offer hope to those struggling. She joined us to talk about The Climb, a FREE community walk dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for women battling perinatal mental health challenges.
At The Climb, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with survivors, supporters, and local providers who are passionate about breaking the stigma. While fundraising is encouraged, it’s completely optional. The day is about coming together, building a network of support, and showing that no one has to walk this path alone.
There will also be plenty of family-friendly activities, including face painting, kids’ games, refreshments, music, and more. It’s a day to bring your loved ones, enjoy the festivities, and stand in solidarity with women who need it most.
Join us at The Climb and be part of a community that believes in lifting each other up.
