ROCKFORD — Hard Rock Casino Rockford is continuing its push for restaurant workers with an open call hiring event this week focused specifically on Asian cuisine experience.
The event goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Rockford Casino: A Hard Rock Opening Act, 610 N. Bell School Road. No registration is required.
The casino is looking to hire chefs and cooks to work at the new YouYu Noodle Bar opening Aug. 29 in conjunction with the casino and entertainment venue, 7801 E. State St.

YouYu Noodle Bar is one of six restaurants that will be inside the future casino. The others are Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Hard Rock Cafe, Constant Grind Bistro, Brick’d Italian Kitchen, and Street Tacos. There are also three bars and the exclusive VIP Plum Lounge.
Experienced cooks start at $23 an hour or more, the casino said. It is also offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for cooks and chefs, with $500 paid upon hire and $500 after 90 days on the job.
The jobs are full-time and come with benefits that include paid time off, food certifications, provided uniforms and employee meals. Experience is preferred but not required.
Applicants must be age 18 or older.
