My name is Lexis Lutes (20) I go to City First Leadership College while running my clothing line Inspired Life. Through my apparel I strive to bring awareness to Mental Health & Suicide Prevention by designing encouraging messages & sharing my story. On top of giving back to local non profits!!
What inspired you to start your business?
After struggling with my own Mental Health & seeing those close to me struggles I knew it was time to step up & make a difference in our community.
What’s it like being a female business owner here in the Stateline?
Being a female business owner here in the Stateline is something I don’t take lightly. Inspiring & Encouraging others is something I’m so passionate about & I’m truly so lucky to do what I get to do.
What advice would you give to a woman wanting to start her own business?
I would encourage any woman wanting to start a business to take that leap of faith & always remember you’re WHY. You never know how encouraging you can be to the world.
Who or what has been your biggest support system as a female business owner in the community?
Besides my friends and family I’d have to say I gain my most support through the different interactions I have with people in the community.
What are the biggest challenges/advantages to being a female business owner?
My biggest advantage has been the doors that have opened since starting my business allowing me to share my story & the importance of your mental health.
