    ROCKFORD  — Looking for something to do in the city this weekend? You could check out local artists at the Fall ArtScene, shop at the 46th annual Cider N’ Cinnamon Arts and Crafts Fair, or sample whiskey and wine outdoors.

    Here are five suggestions for things to do this weekend:

    Fall ArtScene

    Head to downtown Rockford for the Fall ArtScene. The biannual gallery walk is hosted by the Rockford Area Arts Council and features new and established artists of the Rockford region. More than two dozen galleries and businesses are participating. There is no admission fee and all are welcome from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The Arts Council will also be presenting the first biannual ArtScene Poetry Kick-off on 4 p.m. Friday at City Hall.

    Cider N’ Cinnamon Arts & Crafts Fair

    This annual event, now in its 46th year, is held at the Edgebrook Center in Rockford where local makers will display a variety of art, jewelry, crafts, clothing, vintage decor, and so much more. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy delicious food and live music on both days. All Edgebrook businesses will have normal business hours.

    Whiskey and Wine at the Market

    The second annual Whiskey and Wine at the Market will be held in partnership with Artale Wine Co. from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday at Rockford City Market, 116 N. Madison St. Held outdoors under the pavilion, sample whiskey and wine from 20 tables and order your favorites for later pickup at Artale. There will also be live music and food trucks on site.

    Watch Theresa Caputo, star of the hit TLC show “Long Island Medium,” at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Coronado Performing Arts Center as she shares personal stories about her life and explains how her gift works. 

    Paranormal Tour with “The Ghost Gadget Guy”

    Kickoff spooky season with a paranormal tour with Mike “The Ghost Gadget Guy” Kravchuk from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at Tinker Swiss Cottage. You’ll hear some scintillating tales from paranormal experts, listen to audio clips found in the Tinker Cottage and enjoy a tour with the chance to have your own paranormal encounter. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own equipment (cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, etc.). Each event begins in the barn.
