Spring has sprung and your grill should be fired up. This simple recipe can get your going with some killer BBQ chicken in no time.

First, pick your chicken. Legs, thigs, breasts, skin on, skin off. It’s up to you. Go with what you like. Next rub it. Grab your favorite chicken rub and get a good coating on your meat.

Now it’s time to grill. First off you want to hit your chicken with smoke. If you already have a smoker you’re good. If you don’t you can grab a smoker box or smoker tube and you’ll be good to go.  Get your grill up to 180 degrees and hit it with hickory smoke for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes at 180, bump it up to 350 degrees for 30 more minutes. Be sure to check it a couple times with your meat thermometer. If the chicken hit’s 165 degrees internal before time is up just roll with it and move on to the final step which is saucing it.

No need to over think it. Your favorite BBQ sauce will do. Brush a generous amount on all sides and let it cook for 5 minutes. Flip your sauced chicken and let it go for 5 more minutes. Once its nice and tacky, pull it off and enjoy your feast!
