Rockford researcher Dr. Ramaswamy Kalyanasundaram has been named the 2020 Inventor of the Year by the University of Illinois Chicago.

Dr. Kalyanasundaram is the head of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the college of medicine and is receiving the award because of his work on a vaccine to prevent parasitic infections in both humans and dogs. Read the full story below
