I LOVE Tiramisu! If you’re as much of a fan of it, like me… this recipe is for you! Most tiramisu recipes call for eggs but this one is a no-bake and is made with coffee-soaked ladyfingers, creamy, smooth and sweet mascarpone and of course, cocoa powder dusted on top. YUM. Did I mention, no-bake? That’s the best kind of bake there is!
RECIPE
Homemade Tiramisu from Scratch
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups Heavy Cream
- 1 8oz container of Mascarpone cheese
- Cocoa Powder
- ⅓ cup of Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups of espresso
- 3 tbsp of Coffee flavored liqueur (optional)
- 2 Packages of Lady Fingers
Preparation
- Making the creamy filling: Beat the whipping cream, mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla together until stiff peaks. I always use my mixing bowl, which makes it a lot fluffier.
- Dip ladyfingers. Add the espresso and liqueur: You can always use REAL espresso, instead of using the instant in which I suggest, it’s much easier. You also do not have to use the liqueur. If you do, I suggest Dark Myer’s Rum
- Layering the mascarpone: Smooth a layer of the mascarpone ONTO the whipped cream mixture, and mix in manually. Next, Layer the ladyfingers on the bottom of a 9×13 glass pan. (I like to dust a little of the cocoa powder on top of this layer before adding the next.)
- Repeat: Then add another layer of the ladyfingers (dipped in coffee and liqueur) and another layer of the creamy cheese mixture. Dust again with the cocoa powder.
Tips:
Refrigerate overnight for best results! Goes great as an early morning treat with coffee, after pasta dinner dessert, or even if you’re just in the mood for a delicious tasting tiramisu recipe, this should be your go-to!
